Christine explained the challenges of her job - the shire is 200ks long and 50 ks wide. It serves 15 towns. Christin said each was different, with different needs and required different approaches. Christine co-ordinates all the shire's youth programs. She is involved in: a possible youth council, leadership programs, living skills programs, suicide prevention, FREEZA, school holiday activities and she promotes youth achievements.

 

Bridie travels even further, covering 55,000 square kilos (one third the size of England?). her target audience are young people in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 who are thinking about careers etc. She works for WorkCo. Bridie is involved in the school in the mentoring program, VET, job pathways and living skills programms. Bridie helps with resumes and job applications. Her head office is in Horsham.

Students raised the following issues: aging population, study options,travel, motorcros, employment, athletics etc.
